Franchisees, Local Market Team Members and Corporate Leadership Collaborate to Continue Company’s Position Atop the Building Maintenance Management Industry

LENEXA, Kan. – The spirit of solidarity filled four days of productive educational and networking sessions during the 11th Annual City Wide Franchise Convention. Held recently at the Sirata Beach Resort and Conference Center in St. Pete Beach, Fla., City Wide’s largest convention to date serves as a symbol of the hard work and dedication of the entire franchise system.

“There’s nothing like bringing the City Wide Franchise family together,” said Jeff Oddo, president of City Wide. “We have an incredible group of talented business executives as franchisees. When we can spend this much time together there is no better way to share innovative ideas for the future. We have a clear path for the entire City Wide franchise system to continue its remarkable growth and remain the most trusted name in building maintenance management now and for years to come.”

Themed People. Purpose. Passion., the convention celebrated several key accomplishments and inspired all attendees – franchisees, local market team members and corporate leadership – to continue to aim high, think big and rise to the occasion day in and day out. The four days included extensive sales and marketing training, educational seminars and opportunities to share best practices.

“There is an entrepreneurial vibe among the group of City Wide Franchisees that is infectious,” added Brent Degenhardt, president of City Wide of Cincinnati, which he started more than 10 years ago. “The insights were outstanding. Consensus is that we’ve worked way too hard to get to the top to let anything risk that positioning.”

Evidencing the shared commitment to excellence was the two-day leadership development seminar during the convention. Leading Edge’s renowned presenters, Cindy Maher and Tami Evans, highlighted the fast-paced conference. They inspired those in attendance with a collection of powerful presentations that mirrored the conference’s People. Purpose. Passion theme. Given the moving discussions and the information sharing between all attendees, everyone who was present headed home with a wealth of fresh perspectives on leadership.

The most emotional portion of the gathering was the awards dinner. City Wide Franchise handed top performing City Wide franchisees and their team members in attendance honors for their sales, customer retention and superior operations during the past 12 months.

During the dinner, Oddo presented the highest honor, Franchise of the Year, to City Wide of Minnesota franchisee Greg Mansfield and his team. City Wide of Minnesota earned the recognition with a series of high marks in all criteria judged, including total revenue, revenue increase, operations, community involvement and participation within the franchise system. The Minnesota team’s performance also earned it the Million Dollar Club designation by growing revenue by at least $1 million from 2012 to 2013.

“This is a testament to the entire City Wide of Minnesota team,” said Mansfield, who traveled to St. Pete Beach for the convention with three team members. “As long as we stay focused and pay attention to details, we’ll continue to hit our stride every year.”

In addition to City Wide of Minnesota’s impressive recognition for Franchise of the Year, Mansfield earned a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for the Chairman’s Club trip. Five additional City Wide offices – Colorado, Jacksonville, Metro-Atlanta, San Diego and Tampa Bay – also earned the opportunity.

Additional honorees from the convention include:

·       City Wide of Washington, Jacksonville, San Diego and Tampa Bay (Franchise of the Year finalists)

·       City Wide of Colorado (Highest Total Revenue)

·       City Wide of Jacksonville (Million Dollar Club, Sales Executive of the Year – Evan Williams)

·       City Wide of North Carolina (Rookie of the Year)

Recognized as America’s premier building maintenance management company,

City Wide added five new cities in 2013, all of which had representation at the convention.
